DIY Magnolia Wreath

wreath1Ive been OBSESSED with Joanna Gaines Magnolia Wreath she uses in almost all of her fixer upper homes. Its so pretty and so unique. Unfortunately I couldn’t bring myself to spend the $90 she sells it for on her website! When you cant buy than make! I did however purchase the magnolia stem she sells! One steam was enough for the whole wreath. The structure of the wreath is from target and can be found in the dollar section for $3. Alright here we go. Heres the magonlia website :

wreath4The leafs pull off super easy from the steam and they have little wires on them which makes it really easy to wrap around your wreath. I used a hot glue gun to insure they stayed in place and didn’t move.

wreath3Ive always been the type of person who needs to see a picture of something first before I can create it. I pulled up the magnolia market wreath and just copied how she arranged the leafs. This part was a little tricky but I would suggest before you glue anything down hold it up a couple times and see if it looks normal. I didn’t do that and had to pull some leaves off. It looked really really awkward at first.

wreath1Heres the finished wreath! I hung it up on my door to see how it looked before I actually picked a spot I liked.
