Anyone have those areas in your home where you feel like they are so hard to decorate? For me its mg media table!!! I’m always changing it and struggling with making it either look to cluttered or looking too bare. So I took a before picture of how its been styled for the last couple weeks and as much as I love family photos I felt like they werent what I needed on the table. What’s the best way to decorate on a budget?? Well I’m glad you’ve asked. Its called your own home!! I swapped out some pieces I had in other rooms and the new design started to take place. One of the best ways to draw inspiration is just look up some designs on Instagram or Pinterest. Here’s a couple of pictures I found which gave some inspiration.
I loved the simplicity of both looks and I loved the natural elements they incorporated. The books, greenary, water and rustic wood all are the perfect marriage. So first things first!!! Start by taking off EVERYTHING and giving your self a blank canvas to work with.
Here’s the before
Here’s the after.
I used my vintage dough bowl and an old wooden carving I recieved as a wedding present to accent the table. I incorporated some old books and kept the top simple. I elevated the media box with an old yard stick crate .
